Preface

The Internet has many different pieces. How all these pieces fit together can be confusing. This document attempts to put together all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle. The details of how each piece works is not detailed in this document, but hyperlinks can be found in square brackets to the specification or other authoritative refererence for each piece. These specification are frequently technical gobblygook, but more readable (but less precise) descriptions can be found by using your favorite search engine or searching your favorite bookstore.
